Hardware · automated duplication
A robotic CD/DVD burner — also called an autoloader or disc duplicator — uses a robotic arm to load blank discs, burn them, and move them out, all without anyone standing over the machine. It's how you produce dozens or hundreds of identical discs reliably.
If you're still swapping discs by hand or running a tower duplicator, a robotic burner removes the labour and the errors.
| Manual / tower | Robotic burner | |
|---|---|---|
| Disc loading | By hand, one batch at a time | Automatic, from a bulk input bin |
| Labelling | Separate step or stick-on labels | Printed directly on the disc, inline |
| Unattended runs | No | Yes — start it and walk away |
| Best for | Occasional small batches | Regular volume & repeatable jobs |
Common uses
Burn patient scans (CT, MRI, X-ray) to disc with printed patient details — a frequent hospital and clinic need.
Produce durable, labelled optical archives for legal, government and long-term retention requirements.
Duplicate software, training media or distribution discs in consistent, professionally printed batches.
The robotic arm and recorders are the parts that wear. We keep these systems running with maintenance and parts, and supply refurbished autoloaders as a lower-cost route to automated capacity.
Send your Rimage model number and we'll match the exact hardware, media kit or film and quote it.
